The Garden provides a rich environment for honeybees.

Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA

The drive around Palos Verdes Peninsula in southern California is a wild one, and a quick escape from the pristine white beaches of Los Angeles and Orange counties.  The cities along this drive are Palos Verdes Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.  The drive then continues through San Pedro.  This first photo is from Palos Verdes Estates, CA, looking north toward Redondo Beach.  This is the view from Malaga Cove in Palos Verdes Estate, CA. 

 

There are many steep trails along the dramatic hillsides and cliffs.

 

 

The wildflowers were in bloom overlooking the cliffs.

 This section of road winds through Portuguese Bend, where the land is moving constantly and is unsuitable for building.
