Long Beach Loses a Visionary: Shaun Lumachi

Everyone in Long Beach, CA is saddened by the news that the 33 year old co-founder of the Long Beach Post, Shaun Lumachi, died early Saturday in a car accident in Florida.

As bloggers with a similar love for Long Beach and for California in general, we have always been so impressed by Shaun's vision and with The Long Beach Post, the product he produced.  In addition, he was even more involved in our community than we realized, dedicated to so many wonderful causes.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and colleauges.

Long Beach, CA - Roads Under Construction

Seems like every road in Long Beach is under construction.  Traffic has come to a standstill.  The city is broke, the state is broke, and the federal government is printing money.  Good idea?  You decide!
