Several scenic hikes start at the Cottonwood Spring Oasis in Joshua Tree National Park, CA. The spring, a result of earthquake activity makes it possible for trees in the remote desert grow green and tall.

Wildflowers in Joshua Tree National Park, CA benefit greatly from late winter rains. We had enough this year to bring out a wide variety of colorful blooms. Above, once again, I was lucky enough to be visited by a hummingbird. All photos were taken yesterday.
