In memory of Jim Emmal

Once or twice a year I go sailing with my friends Pam, Tim, Brian and Jim (pictured above) as well as anyone else that shows up. I recieved the following note today from Brian Shannon, who arranges these trips:

"It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of my good friend and sailing buddy Jim Emmal. Those of you who have sailed with Jim over the years know, as I do, that he was one of the truly good, sincere people who dearly loved his children. It is hard to understand why God has chosen to take my young friend in the prime of his life but I’m certain He has a higher calling for him. Jim will truly be missed by me."

I have great memories of the sailing trips that I have been on with Jim, and I will miss him too.
