Eureka, CA, the largest city in Humboldt County, is charming. I was only there for a night, but the people I met were interesting and welcoming. Eureka is known for its Victorian architecture and its nostalgic downtown area... however, being in retail, I was more intrigued by North Coast Co-op. I stopped in my tracks, turned around, and went inside. It was well-done and I love that they appear to be thriving!
