Memorial Day Flower Drop 2012 at Air Museum, Palm Springs, CA

Red and white carnations fall against the backdrop of a bright blue sky at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Memorial Day 2012.

In a moving ceremony, a B-25 Mitchell dropped 3000 red and white carnations on spectators today at the Palm Springs Air Museum, to commemorate the fallen heroes of the US Military.  In addition, 3 Beechcraft T-34s cut the sky with a beautiful another beautiful tribute in the form of the Missing Man Formation, where 3 planes take off and two return, in memory of pilots lost in the pursuit of our freedom.  Thanks to all who are serving and have served!
