Anyone with an interest in Malibu Creek State Park and the view along Mulholland Highway should visit http://savethemeadow.com The state park service plans to build a 7 acre RV park destroying the integrity of a historic site and impairing the view along the scenic Mulholland corridor. Project offcially known as the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Campground and RV Park. Your comments can affect this project.
Thanks for sharing your pictures of a hidden jewel in coastal southern california. I hiked this trail with my girlfriend (aka 'sweetest woman on the planet') and we saw some green birds roosting in one of the trees. They were very chirpy and they seemed to want us to notice them.

RedSoxNut: The green birds you saw were some kind of parrot. We saw them too on March 9, 2010. Missed the M*A*S*H site though.
I have enjoyed hiking in this region too.
