Sunken City, San Pedro, CA

Formerly an upscale neighborhood overlooking the Pacific, Sunken City in San Pedro, CA is the site of a major landslide in 1929.  Now, graffiti-covered concrete slabs and the remains of the broken roads exist - and the land is still shifting. This trip was attended by Photo Meetup Groups from Long Beach, Orange County and Corona.

I went there and something very precarious happened. Don't go down to the edge towards the water because when you look back up it looks like an avalanche could come down and sweep you off the edge. Plus that Paseo Del Mar park is a high cliff hanger and is the next to go. I wouldn't be anywhere near that area, even the roads above.
