Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest Highways, CA, after the Station Fire

Charred remains of trees and other vegetation against a still-beautiful mountain backdrop, burned in the Station Fire from late August through mid-October 2009, as seen for miles and miles along the Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest Highways.  To see photos taken along the same route, less than a week before flames broke out,  click here.

Maybe it's becasue I'm taking cold medicine, but when I first looked a the picture of the tunnel I thought I was looking at the moon with a high-powered telescope. What a great shot!
