Merced River Valley: Spring Wildflowers & More, along Highway 140, from Merced to El Portal, CA

As shown above, wildflowers blanketed many of the hillsides along the drive from Merced to El Portal, CA.  Cities in between include Agua Fria, Mariposa, Midpines, Briceburg and Incline.  The drive along Highway 140, which follows the Merced River, begins in farmland, quickly becomes hilly, and then mountainous.  See map below.  The drive ends at the west entrance to Yosemite National Park.
