For hard core wildflower hunters, the season is open! The flowers are coming out in Anza Borrego State Park, the desert area east of San Diego, CA. Most of these photos were taken this weekend, north of Borrego Springs, CA off of DiGiorgio Rd and Henderson Canyon Rd.

The photos below are of desert lilies, in perfect bloom, a type of flower I had not seen in the wild before, discovered right at dusk.
