SAW A STORY ON THIS BY HUELL HAUSER. IT WAS SO INTERESTING. HE SAID IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET TO THE BRISTLECONE FOREST AND VERY FEW PEOPLE GET TO VISIT.

It was not difficult to get to the visitor center, where the main hiking trails start. The drive does involve several miles on a well-maintained, paved road along a cliff without a guardrail. There are unpaved roads, also well-maintained, that go deeper into the forest.

This is one of my favorite places in California. It's amazingly quiet and exceptionally beautiful up there.
