Avalon, Catalina Island, CA

Catalina Island is located 22 miles off of the southern California Coast.  Avalon is a picturesque city that offers accommodations, restaurants, gift shops, white sand beaches, snorkeling, SCUBA diving and many other tourist attractions.  It is most easily accessible by boats which leave regularly from ports in Long Beach, San Pedro and Newport Beach.

Hey,

Thanks for posting these pictures! I am spending summer working in Santa Barbara and I am looking forward to visiting the Channel Islands. I wondered how Avalon looks like and your wide angle shot shows it's waterfront pretty well.

Anyways, great site, real helpfull for somebody planning their stay in California.
